Dear Polterguests,

I write Halloween music to be enjoyed the entire month of October. Such an enticing holiday at the end of such a beautiful month calls for celebratory music starting on the 1st, not confined to the 31st alone...

...(though some of you have written to me, saying you listen to my Halloween music all year long, for which I thank you, and put extra candy in your trick-or-treat satchels).

Here on my website, Trick-or-Treaters of all ages and backgrounds can find plenty of treats, including some free downloads ~ just click near the bottom of that column to your right.

If my music finds a place in your souls, perhaps next to spiced cider, jack o' lanterns, chilly air, beautiful leaves, and fluffy cats...

...then may I invite you to join my street team of P.U.M.P.K.I.N.S. (Porchgoers Under Masks Promoting Kristen's Intriguing New Sound), and simply tell your friends about the Halloween Carols™. Please come to my facebook page and post about your street team adventures sharing my Halloween music!

If you would like to receive updates on my recordings and performances, please join my email list above.

Thank you for visiting. I hope every October is an enchanting one for you, full of music, sights, tastes, scents, and feelings that rapturously haunt and deliciously linger.

Happy Halloween!

Kristen

Kristen has set all 18 verses of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" to music, and at the time of this post, the final mix is getting closer to completion.  Though she didn't know about the upcoming movie (starring John Cusack) when she began this project, it is a fortunate coincidence to be releasing her CD as the cinematic release nears.

Announcing the winners in a local (Orange County, California) elementary school contest to write a new verse for the traditional tune, "Ghost of John":

Have you heard of the ghost of Sue?
Swishing and whistling with a whoo.
Oooooooh!
Trying to frighten people with a boo!

- Anika

Have you seen John’s poor dog June?
She barks and howls at the midnight moon!
Oooooooh!
Isn’t it sad she died from a poisoned prune?

- Elliot

Have you heard of the Frozen Head?
Instead of skin, he is made of lead.
Oooooooh!
He goes through a doorway and under a bed.

- Julia

Have you seen the toast for John?
Long white bread with the crust all gone.
Oooooooh!
Wouldn’t it be silly with no crust on?

- Brook
